Im Mai 2022 hat der VDGH in Zusammenarbeit mit BVMed ein Positionspapier vorgestellt, dass die Mißstände in Bezug auf die Implementierung der MDR und IVDR aufzeigt. So reichen die derzeitigen Kapazitäten der Benannten Stellen nicht aus, um dem erhöhten Aufwand gerecht zu werden, ebenso fehlen die Zertifizierungskapazitäten für Neuprodukte.
